Each year, there is a series of training updates and information dissemination that must take place prior to the first day of school.  Some of this information and training can take place on your own time, outside of faculty meetings.  The following information includes steps on what needs to be reviewed and/or completed.


Discrimination, Harassment, & Retaliation Update

    • Register for the course
    • Go to "Course Content" and review the presentation
    • Complete the quiz (the system indicates that this is a practice quiz, but it is not.)
    • Once completed you need to request credit

A New Year

The Tabloids for August 2015



Timber Trek (student orientation for our 5th graders and new 6th graders) will take place on Monday, August 10th.  There will be a morning session (9-11am) and an afternoon session (1-3pm).  There will be a planning meeting on Tuesday, July 28th at 10am in the CTIS Library.  If you are interested in volunteering to help out during Timber Trek, but cannot attend the planning meeting, please email me and let me know which session you would like to attend.  In order to receive SDCE credit for attending, please register for Timber Trek in Eduphoria (there is a listing for the morning session and one for the afternoon session--register for both if you plan to attend both.)

There will be a discipline committee meeting on August 4th at 10am in the CTIS Library.  Staff will review the current discipline management system and make revision as needed.  If you would like to be a part of this committee please attend the meeting.  Bring your ideas and suggestions!!



There will be a Wolf Pack Committee Meeting on Tuesday, July 28th at 11am.  We will be reviewing the Timbers' Top 20, first days of school expectations, and potential changes to Wolf Mart.  If you have any ideas or suggestions regarding Timbers' Top 20, Wolf Paws and Wolf Mart, please notify your pack leader (Cogito members may notify Mrs. Rietfors).  FYI...this meeting is for Wolf Pack Committee members and administration only.

All instructional staff need to complete TBSI training by the end of July.  Thank you to all of you who have completed this task!!!  I am checking to see when new to MISD staff should complete the training.  More information will come later.

Student schedules are about 85% complete.  Teachers may begin checking Skyward for updated class/team information.  If you are unable to print your class rosters and would like them prior to August 17th , please email Mrs. Rietfors.  

MTOP - Mansfield Teacher Orientation Program will be August 13th and 14th.  More information will be emailed directly to new MISD teachers.  Any new to profession teachers needing PDAS training will need to attend PDAS training on August 12th.

Monday, August 17th from 8:00-11:00am is "Teacher Work Time".  We will begin Professional Development in the library after lunch at 12:30pm.  The full schedule for August Inservice will be emailed at a later date.

Convocation is Wednesday, August 19th from 8-11am.  Wear your convocation shirt with whatever is cool and comfortable!  We will meet at CTIS and depart at 7:45am.


Meet the Teacher at CTIS is Tuesday, August 18th from 5-7pm.  Attendance is required and paraprofessionals will receive comp time.
